Brining Vessels

I was brining a chicken the other day and this tip just sort of happened. Often it is difficult to find a container large enough to hold whatever you are brining, especially if it is something really large like a turkey. Well, I upturned a plastic cake keeper to hold the bird and brine. It worked famously and fit into my refrigerator with no problem. For a turkey, use a cooler and keep the water iced.
