Here’s a spiced nut recipe I experimented with lately.
I like a spicy and slightly sweet nut and I love cardamom, and this recipe reflects those flavors.
These are great to garnish a cheese course or in a salad or just by themselves.

- 1 Tblsp agave nectar
- 1 Tblsp honey
- ⅛ tsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp cardamom
- ⅛ tsp cayenne
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup mixed nuts (I like pecans, cashews and/or almonds)
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a foil lined baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine all ingredients but the nuts and mix well. Add nuts and stir until nicely coated.
- Spread on the baking sheet and bake 10-15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Keep a close eye on them after 10 minutes to prevent over cooking.
