So you are having a big dinner party or other event in your home where you need extra seating. What to do?
You can always rent dining chairs from party rental companies. Or you can start of collection of inexpensive, easy-to-store temporary seating.
You want a nicely made chair that doesn’t take up too much space when stored. Think stackable or folding. Ikea and World Market offer wooden folding chairs, some that even come with slipcovers for a shabby look.
On the more modern side is the fun, stackable Oh! chair from the Container Store. And for a classic look there is an elegant bamboo folding chair from Ballard Designs. Whatever your budget and style, options abound.
Have a great weekend!

We’re fortunate to have a table that extends to fit 12. We have cheap stackable lightweight aluminum chairs that we store in the garage.
We just had a dinner party for twelve and to make life easier, we cooked easy recipes that were prepared the day prior. I think it’s really important for the hosts to be relaxed and fresh for their guests, so it’s best not to be rushed off your feet slaving away at the stove, on the day of your party.
Great tips!
