It’s a politically charged day, that’s for sure. But whether you vote R or D today, all parties will enjoy Linda Bauer’s cookbook, Capitol Hill Cooks: Recipes from the White House, Congress and All of the Past Presidents.

Not only are there recipes from members of Congress, like Senator Scott Brown’s Italian Soup, but you will also find George Washington’s Cranberry Pudding and President Barack Obama’s Linguini.

Best of all, Capitol Hill Cooks raises money for Homes for Our Troops. Fifty percent of proceeds will be given to this group that assists severely injured servicemen and women build or adapt their home for handicapped accessibility.

Linda Bauer is a seasoned food and travel writer and the author of several cookbooks including Recipes from Historic Texas. She is currently the travel editor for Reviewit Magazine and a contributor to Prime Living.

Here’s a taste of what you will find in Capitol Hill Cooks: a nice, seasonal selection from the late President Ronald Reagan.
