Celebrate with Brazil?’ National Drink!
We love lime cocktails – margaritas, mojitos and now the Caipirinha (kai-pur-EEN-yah). It’s refreshing like a mojito, just a tad sweeter and a nice alternative to one if don’t any mint on hand. You must have cachaca (ca SHA sa) on hand though. This is the Brazilian rum-like sugar cane liquor that makes the drink. Leblon?s is made from fresh-pressed Brazilian sugar cane and aged in Cognac casks.
The Leblon Caipirinha

Ingredients
- 2 oz. Leblon Cachaca
- 3 lime slices
- 2 Tblsp sugar
Instructions
- Place lime slices in a shaker and add sugar.Muddle well.
- Fill the shaker with ice and Leblon Cachaca.
- Shake vigorously, pourinto a rocks glass and garnish with a slice of lime. (1 packet of Splenda or Equal can be used in place of the sugar.)
